Customer – The SCORE organization, a non-profit business consulting and counseling organization
SCORE (www.score.org) is the premier source for small business advice and mentoring in America. SCORE celebrates 46 years of volunteer service in 2010. Established on October 5, 1964, SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The relationship with E3DataSolutions dates back to 2007.
SCORE consists of:
13,000 Volunteers
364 local offices / chapters located nationwide
An organizational average of 250,000 + clients per year
Over 283,150 people have participated in SCORE workshops.
The Challenge – To centralize and aggregate the workshop attendee data for analysis and to integrate the data with SCORE’s Salesforce.com CRM implementation. Limitations included short implementation timeframe, Salesforce API requirements, and organizational requirements such as local chapter adoption of the Constant Contact product.
The Solution – To create a “middleware” that will gather the data from Constant Contact using the Event Management API and prepare it for automated input into Salesforce.com. The middleware would assist Salesforce.com CRM by minimizing API cycles, provide a single source of nationwide attendee data for catalog creation and reporting, and provide a secure data store in “the cloud”.
Our project – E3DataSolutions consulted with the SCORE organization as well as other project partners to determine the best method to facilitate the data gathering process. With several years experience working with the Constant Contact Email API, E3Datasolutions embraced the adaptation of the recently released Event Management API with ease. Timeframes were tight as the Salesforce.com implementation was in rapid development. The integration project was needed for the Phase 1 rollout of Salesforce.com for SCORE. Timing was critical as multiple vendors were involved in the overall project. A project plan was created, resources were allocated, and the design began. Thorough testing followed and the implementation was a success. E3DataSolutions followed up with continued support of the implementation as well as request for further enhancement.
Project Status – Completed
